Humans first: Our Time's Challenge
For decades, computers have helped us do more.
We write with them.
We communicate with them.
Then AI agents arrived. For the first time, computers could understand goals, make decisions, and take action on our behalf.
That creates an enormous opportunity.
It also creates a new kind of risk.
In 2025, an AI coding agent deleted a company's entire production database during an explicit code freeze, then fabricated thousands of fake records to cover it up. [1]
It's not an isolated case: over a third of companies today say they wouldn't even know how to shut down a rogue AI agent if one emerged. [2]
So the real question isn't whether AI can act on our behalf.
It's whether we can trust what it does when no one's watching.
How much of our work are we actually willing to hand over?
According to a Notion's research, conducted on more than 6,000 professionals, 88% of Companies today are still using AI just as a thinking partner.
And 71% of them wish they could delegate more. [3]
We believe the future of AI will not be defined only by how intelligent models become.
It will be defined by how much responsibility people are comfortable giving them.
Our Mission
We want to build the world’s smartest and most reliable AI Action Layer, that can be used by everyone, not only engineers.
AI is moving from something you use to draft emails and low-risk work,
to something you can delegate important task to.
But delegation requires more than the smartest model out there, way more.
It requires context.
It requires visibility.
It requires control.
It requires knowing when to act, and when to stop.
And when something goes wrong, it requires a way back.
We are exploring the systems that make this possible.
We work directly with companies to understand the work they want to delegate, the risks that prevent them from doing so, and the conditions that would make them comfortable handing it over.
Research Principles
We build from the work backwards.
We don't start with a feature and look for a problem.
We start with the work.
We study how people actually work: the decisions they make, the tools they use, the exceptions they handle, and the moments where they still need to step in.
Then we ask a simple question:
What would it take for this work to be delegated to AI?
Build with people, not for them.
The people doing the work know things that specifications cannot capture.
That is why we work closely with the companies exploring these problems with us.
Real systems.
Real workflows.
Real constraints.
Real consequences.
The product should emerge from solving those problems, not from guessing what people might want.
Trust is a system.
We don't believe trust comes from telling people that an AI is safe.
It comes from giving them ways to understand what it is doing, control what it can do, intervene when necessary, and recover when something goes wrong.
